The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) code are used to identify the carrier that transports the goods out of the United States. If you are unable to find your number, especially if you have checked online, then you can call the National Motor Freight Traffic Association directly on their customer service line (703-838-1810). You can also contact regulatory agencies to find your lost SCAC code.

How long does it take to get a SCAC code?

If we receive your application by 3:00 PM EST, Mon-Fri, we can usually have your SCAC code the same day, most times within 2 hours. Applications received after 3:00 pm are immediately submitted and may still receive their SCAC code the same day. Delays are possible and acquisition times are not guaranteed.
