How much does Job Corps pay students?
The living allowance (i.e., pay) is based on stay duration (e.g., up to 56 days is $25/pay period or two weeks, 57-112 days is $30/pay period, 113-182 is $40/pay period and 183+ days at $50/pay period).

After you graduate, Job Corps can help you get started on your journey with a transition allowance. This allowance is based on your academic and career technical training achievement while in Job Corps.
How old do you have to be to get a job with Youth Corps?
The administrative earnings records (tax data) were collected for 9 years after random assignment. By year 9, participants in the original sample were between the ages of 25 and 33.
Is there child care at a Job Corps center?
Most Job Corps centers do not offer childcare services, but some do, including single parent dormitories or allotment funds to cover off-campus child care services. Check with your admissions counselor to see what options are available for you.
